I love good hair. In fact, it's absurd how much I love good hair. I don't even get funny looks any more when I randomly declare 'she/he has excellent hair'. So, why don't I take care of my own?

yay you! glad it went so well. In the states you're supposed to tip hairdressers, so I'm sure it's fine.
