Mother Knows Best
Ma enters my kitchen where I am making tea.
Ma: There's a beeping noise coming from your bedroom.
Me: Huh?
Ma: A beeping noise, BEEP BEEP beep BEEP, like a cell phone or an alarm clock.
Me: (After thinking about it a moment and remembering I left a DVD on.) That's probably Doctor Who.
Ma: Oh, is he in your bedroom?
Me: If he was I wouldn't be making tea.
Ma: (Rather smugly) You would if he wanted some.
Well...she's got me there.
