It's been like a bajillion years since I posted right? Well I've been up to alot this past summer and fall. Since my last post I've went to Japan and I've started my senior year. There's also a lot of minor not as important thing I did, I'll get to those at another time.
I might have to divide this into parts beacuse I have a ton of pictures as well.
So as I said earlier I went to Japan, last sumer for two weeks with people to people, I was an amazing expirence. I was sent with a whole bunch of kids mainly from around Upstate NY, but there where like two kids from Califorinia. Our flight left from Newark at like eight or nine in the morning and there was a three hour drive from Albany to the airport so it was decided that we go and watchg a movie and then go and drive to the airport. So we got to see Ratatuoile at midnight and then leave fore newark immediately. I arrived at Newark at dawn, and I passed through secrurity blah, blah. I then boarded the plane and flew to Chicago's O'hare airport. I swear I have the worst seating luck ever, beacuse I was seated in the middle between the fat black girl and the really quiet kid for both flights. I slept most of the way to O'hare. Then I arrrived at Chicago and we tranfered planes. This flight was unluckly a direct flight straight to Japan from Chicago, it was 14 hours of hellish uncomfortableness, I was still stuck inbetween the two same people. So I ate shitty airline food, spelt uncomfortably. Then I started felling not so great, it turns out that the combinated of shitty food, poor air circulation and 14 hours of doom was getting to my stomach. The results weren't pretty, but I did mange to make it to the bathroom, but still...
Finally I arrived in Tokay of 14 hours of hell, we passed though customs, and shit perfectly fine, and met up with the two who came fom Califonia. The we waited at the airport lobby and met up with our guide, Hiromi. She was really, really awesome. We boarded the bus or motorcoach as they say there and drove to the hotel in Tokyo. I stayed st the grand Prince Hotel which was a really nice hotel. So we freshed up and explored the hotel. Then we went to dinner at a Chinese restuarant, I was okay not really outstanding or anything. Afterwards we went back to the hotel to sleep.
The nest day we went to see the municipal offices in Tokyo, we got a tour of the place and we got to see how the Japanese goverment works. We ate luch at the cafeteria there which is a expirence in itself. Later we visted the Meiji Jinja (Shrine) and I learned about emperor Meiji, and Shitoism. I got to look around, pray, buy charms, visit the gift shop. The we visited Harajuku, and no it is not like what Gwen Stefani decribed, that lying whore!!!! Haha, I walked though takeshita-doori street, and then I went to the Oriental bazzar and bought a Yukata there. I didn't have a chance to visit LaForet, but If I did I think I'd run out of space in my suitcase. Then we went to dinner, I have no recollection of what I ate that day.
On to the pictures!
RAndom scupturea at the Tokyo Municipal Goverment center
I forgot what these are called, but for some reason they were displayed there.

The other side of the tower. It was constuted in a way that you could see the people across the room
The Torii gate of the Meji Jinja.
This gate is the last gate before the main shrine area.
This is the last spot where you can take pictures, before entering the main worshippig area.
