mrggg, 5+ hrs with a scratchy contact = not fun. Also apparently I've had a sinus infection for like two weeks. Woo.
My international studies teacher doesn't know what he's talking about. We spend like three or four days on each of seven "sections" of the world. Now we're on "Far East and Oceana." (His spelling.) He insists Chinese has an alphabet, and tried to go into how Shinto and Buddhism in Japan are completely different religions and half the country follows one and half follows the other, and there's only a little crossover. Also he asked some question about Chinese industrialization, and didn't mention anything about the Great Leap Forward. Apparently all industrialization and economic disparity has only happened in the last 20 years. :|
