Now I love the Burning Man spin-offs, including the one that takes place at Coopers, heaven knows. still, i have no desire to see our beloved Pennsic become one
( ... )
Of course, I remember when the bardic cricles were all Leslie Fish's/Kipling's "Cold Iron", "Song of the Shield Wall", "Catalan Vengeance," "Old Time Religion," and Scifi Confilk, but they were a lot of fun. I miss that.
It's just a my opinion, mind you. Pennsic has always been a very big tent, with room for many different games. REmember the vampire/werewolf thing back in the 90's? Glad that blew over. Still, the mechanism seems to be self-correcting. We have no means of policing authenticity, and I think that's probably a good thing.
If I've given offense, I assure you none was meant.
If you like, we could go into the matter more deeply in some other venue. I would be very blithe to make your further acquaintance and to attempt some small deed of arms, if you are so inclined, as you seem to be a gallant gentleman from whom much honor might be gained.
Sincerely, Morien MacBain, esq. of House de La Marche
