He gave Annette lots of love as well! Said it wasn't hard at all to play Lionel as smitten with Martha. And this was cute: he wished he could have been in "Heat". He read the script on a plane and loved Jonathan helping Clark deal with his heat vision by taking him out to practice on the scarecrow.
Ya know, AMack has done 2 Cons now, and has she said anything of interest? Because I haven't seen any quotes from her anywhere.
At DCon, she said that having been picked up & carried by Tom a number of times, it was fun to pick him up as Brainiac. Asked about story lines the cast weren't fond of, she mentioned that she felt Chloe should have been finished pining over Clark by S4. "He's not into you!" When Chloe was getting a power, she was allowed to have input into that storyline. And she & Laura talked a little about the difficulties in keeping Tom cool & sweat-free - I'll probably go back & look for that quote & transcribe it. She also talked about Clark's relationship with the Kents and the foundation that gave him that Lex never had.
The panel I saw in Chicago, she had Michael next to her & that seemed to make her a little more lively. The DCon panels, she was a little more reserved, deferring to JG and JM.
I've seen stuff from LV at other Cons, and she's very adorable and very complimentary.
Laura took to Cons like a duck to water - she's fabulous on panels - but I think that's partly because like Michael & James, she's a geek at heart. Hardcore Buffy fan as a kid, wrote Joss Whedon letters asking to be on the show. So she understands the Con crowd, what we like to hear. Whereas KK, AM, ED - they're all so nice & earnest but seem more into delivering affirmations than sharing anecdotes. ED is booked for a Con in Austin in November, her first in years, and I hope someone vids it. She hasn't done much SV reminiscing & must have some good stories as yet unshared! Spill some Tom-goodies.
