I'm sick of the duplicity of the so-called religious. Just because you worship God doesn't give you the right to pass judgement on others. Saying you go to church doesn't mean you are a kind person. Or even a moral one.
I know this may sound hypocritical. Don't get me wrong; I've thought and even said some horrible things about people that they probably never deserved. But I feel that the test of a truly good person is to realize and keep in mind that no one is perfect, there are always extenuating circumstances, and it's their life to live, not yours.
I'd much rather be judged for what really matters in life anyway. I've never stolen, never physically hurt anyone, and I've never used my beliefs to make anyone else feel bad about themselves.
I've met so many people who justify putting others down because they refuse to acknowledge their own faults. What's the saying? He who is without sin shall cast the first stone?
I believe that means if you have nothing nice to say about someone, STFU. I really doubt God appreciates you using your interpretation of his words to judge someone else inferior.
That said, I believe I'll take my own advice and zip my trap.
