Because all the cool kids are doing it.... both on Facebook and now LJ (and I tried not to duplicate)
1. I really prefer real carrot sticks over baby carrots for dips and salads.
2. I still remember the eery feeling of seeing AF1 escorted by fighters as it flew over our home the evening of Sept 11.
3. I scrapbook to relieve stress and to document the people I love.
4. I have a pot roast, potatoes, and carrots in the crock pot for dinner.
5. Yes, I'm one of those Twilight people.
6. Being an AF wife for 20 years was many things.... boring was never one of them.
7. Taryn picked my best friend for me at a wives' meeting when she was 20 months old.
8. After saying something to annoy me, I once took aim at my yet-to-be-husband with a strawful of ice cold lemonade and beaned him right in the temple. It was 95 degrees, in an un-air-conditioned car, and we were in 5 o'clock traffic in Oklahoma City. Surprisingly, he married me less than two weeks later.
9. Sometimes I have a bit of a temper.
10. I was a Girl Scout leader for over 5 years in Washington and Illinois. While in Washington, I took over 50 Girl Scouts and parents on a camping trip to Hands Across the Border (Canada/US border) and lived to tell about it.
11. The longest week of my life was the week Taryn died.
12. The second longest was the week I watched her die.
13. Marrying my husband is the smartest thing I have ever done.... and after nearly 23 years of marriage, I'd do it all over again.
14. If I had unlimited resources, I'd breed beagles and show them in the ring.
15. I'd also go back to school and get a Master's.... in something.
16. I love taking pictures and have thought about picking up a photography class or two.
17. 17 was my husband's football number in high school.... and the exact number of letters all three of our children's names contain.
18. I don't like lima beans or brussels sprouts - the thought of either makes me gag.
19. I am navigationally and directionally challenged.... (almost to the point of being disabled) It has made living in new communities interesting, to say the least, and beyond frustrating at other times.
20. In regards to our assignments and moving around the country, I always believed we were where we were for a specific reason.... that God had a plan for us wherever we were and that there were people who were supposed to be in our lives. Even though we're officially *settled* I still believe this to be true.
21. I love the smell of a camp fire - even when it's in my clothes and hair.
22. I think a man wearing cufflinks is sexy - and have enjoyed FlyBoy wearing them since he became a civilian *rowr*
23. I am not a morning person, yet seemed to always take 8 o'clock classes when I went back to college and then when I taught at CSM. Go figure.
24. Two cups of coffee are the minimum standard to getting me into a functional state each morning.
25. My grandmother gave me a coral cameo ring when I turned 25. It had once been a necklace of her mother's (from a boy when she was a young girl), then my grandmother got it (at age 25) and had it made into a ring.
