Uni update

Life is still brilliant. Back to work after 2 weeks off, got stacks of uni work done while I was on hols so well on top of that.

Brought up my geology module result to the 2.1 average I was looking for and am currently sitting on a first average on the environmental science module. This pleases me immensely but I know that there is a long way to go on this road yet. I am over halfway there. Now that I am at level 2 courses, so second year in a traditional degree, the results that I get out of these courses goes towards the grade of the degree that I walk away with at the end. Aiming to maintain the 2.1+ average for the degree, I realise there's a lot of work in that.

I have to come up with a project for the environmental science course and I am drawing a bit of a blank at the moment. It involves fieldwork, data collection and interpretation. In principal is straight forward but coming up with what to do the project on is proving a challenge. I have time yet so think I'll get myself out into the countryside and see what I see that may want to be studied. Bats are something that appeal so I might have to see how healthy the local population is, and what is effecting them.

I think that I may be able to take the project assignment from the environmental science module and expand it to be the full thesis if I do it properly.

Apart from that then I have an Ecosystems module to do then I think I'll be taking on the Evolution module and either Oceanography or The Geological Record of Environmental Change.

At some stage I need to do the residential practical course. I've decided to wait and see what the new version of that is so that I can get the most up to date qualification. It does mean I'll be dropping back to a level 2 module midway through my level 3 courses but I think its worth doing it that way round.

So plenty of work to do yet! Looking forward to it all though so that has to be a good sign!

I'll update about the rest of life at some stage soon.

Love and Hugs to all that want or need them,

Taz
