One unsung thing I love about Teen Wolf: the parents.
None of the parents think they have all the answers, with the exception of Allison's mom -- and look what her inflexibility has cost her -- and Jackson's adoptive father, who, out of all the parents, wants the most control and yet has the least control over his offspring.
Allison's dad, Scott's mom and Stiles' dad haven't figured out all the angles to this parenting thing. To different degrees, they want to be friends or colleagues with their children, but, despite having the form of adults, the kids are still kids.
The teen state is probably the most metaphorically perfect state for a werewolf to be in.
