The world did not end, i friggin swear

So as everyone who is a reasonable human in modern civilization knows we, the US, inaugurated a new president yesterday. As most would agree this is a extremely important and needed change. Thankfully the previous president ( who many would want to bring up on war crimes)left office with a little wave in a helicopter. The new president spoke eloquently, even with polite jibes at the previous administration. I am happy about this as well. So now begins the rebuilding phase of this country. There are a few things I want to see happen first:

1. A move to nationalized health care. I believe this system will not only save the common man money, but also reinvigorate the way medicine is performed. Preventative medicine may actually be possible now, thus saving costly bills in the future(ie. senior health care). Of course there will be problems and resistance, most likely from insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies who could stand to lose large sums of cash. I could also see those companies having to lay off people if it does happen, thus causing another argument against it. Others will also say we do not have the money for national health care. I would gladly pay a bit more tax if i could walk into any hospital and get coverage immediately with out worry of insurance. Overall in the implementation I think the issue of cost and loss of jobs and revenue for companies could be addressed. I however only have ideas, and since i am not an economist who knows if they would work.

2. The removal of troops in the middle east. By now the American people must realize that was a lie. It is cost effective to does, logical to do so, and quite frankly i think the world community wants it to happen. Heck all the money we could save over there could be invested in national health care.

3. I want to see a major infrastructure revamp. We need to be maintaining things like roads, municipal utilities and energy. Few of these things have been adequately maintained for something like 50 years(this is an approximation. Moving to renewable energy is sensible and economic and environmental. Jobs lost in the coal and oil industries can be recouped in the construction sector by implementing a country wide maintenance plan. Sounds like FDR's New Deal right? Well our country has not been in such strife since FDR, perhaps he had the right idea.

4. Education!! Lets spend money on improving our education. I cannot stress this enough.

To sum this up, i think we live in the most powerful third world country on Earth. Lets change that. I am hoping the new administration will at the very least put us several steps in that direction. Welcome President Obama, good riddance President Bush.

Hilarious thing that perhaps only online gamers will get Democratic Patch Day.

Class started again and i desperately want school to be done and myself with a degree. It is ok, i will survive. Although i might resort to prostitution for income. My booze pool is dangerously low.
