At long, long last, as of last night this morning I am fully caught up on Doctor Who.

Not much to say, except ... wow.

When we first cut to the Doctor at Stonehenge I'll admit I exclaimed "It was a robot head!" at the screen.

Seconds later, there was a robot head. ♥

This show, somehow it manages to be totally brilliant and make no sense whatsoever all at the same time. If this was a lesser show, the fact it is ridiculous and makes no sense would probably detract from my enjoyment of it. But Who, apparently, is exempt from all laws that require television to follow the usual rules of logic and reason, though I admit I got a bit stuck on the whole "remembering someone makes them exist... somehow" thing.

But yes. Brilliant. Also, total nonsense. I love it.

I liked Rory when he was first introduced, in a nondescript, harmless sort of way, and as he's evolved over the course of the show I've grown increasingly more attached to him. But Auton replicate Rory? There isn't enough flail in the ~*world*~. Standing vigil over Amy's box for two thousand years. I may not have much by way of a romantic soul, but waiting for a loved one like that one of the biggest emotional kinks (for lack of a better word) I have. Also, two thousand years. Normally the best I get is, like, ten!

And it served as an excuse for Rory to wear a Roman centurion outfit and a security guard uniform, which, for some reason, made him really attractive.

To sum up: I like plastic!Rory best of all. Also, he should be made to play dress-up at all times.

I should spend more time talking about Amy and how much I love her, but I started this post with "Not much to say, but...", so assume there are a couple of extra paragraphs here going "AMY, oh god, she's amazing I love her :D :D :D :D" because I do.

Bowties are cool.

And yeah, I will never not be totally charmed by Eleven. I'm sure it's in large part because he's my "first" (though I watched a few episodes of Nine and Ten, it didn't stick), but, in my very humble estimation, he's utterly perfect (and Matt Smith is similarly perfect in the part).

I haven't heard anything about a panel at San Diego Comic Con this year but, god, dare to dream.

Oh yeah, and to the surprise of no one I've started playing World of Warcraft into the wee hours of the morning. Now if only I could improve my DPS.

To the players on my f-list, anybody have any tips for a Level 50 combat-specced rogue? I'm mostly spamming SS and keeping up SnD and Rupture (and Blade Flurry in groups) where I have the combo points, but in most instances the players with AOEs are doing such ridiculous damage the mobs die before I even get going.

Haven't signed up for wowarmory.com yet, though I probably should. Man, I suck.

Every time I think I suck I have to remind myself I've only been doing instances for... what, five days? Yeah.

tv: doctor who, games: world of warcraft
