Interesting... while I am not only a fan of classical music, I tend to be categorised as a classical music composer, but feel (as a composer) it is important to pull from the styles of modern music (my current interest is Urban). I find the complex rhythms of Urban music to be extremely complex and very similiar in style to that of madrigal writers of the 16th century or the renaissance writers before them - even though most listeners would be hard pressed to hear any similarity.

So - the music I write is trying to bring these worlds together and as you say, bring the listeners full circle.
