i'm happy to be back in school and working at columbia. the commute sucks donkey balls but i love it here. and truth be told the long train ride is good for reading or zoning out to my ipod so its not so bad.
i love my boss, shes really cool and gave me a raise since i came back so im happy here.
so i was walking on campus before to pick up my new id card and i passed the journalism building. i just cut my hair and got bangs and i totally look like a mini wannabe christiane amanpour. ive been thinking a lot about what it would take to go to grad school for journalism. columbia is like the best one in the country, and id love to stay here but i wouldnt mind going somewhere else. im getting my bachelor of science in evolutionary biology but since im minoring in creative writing (and columbia doesnt have a journalism undergrad major) id be ok. i think i finally found the thing i should do with my life. i mean ive always wanted to be a writer but ive always had a heart for travelling and my unicef stuff. here id get to combine all of those things. im seeing about taking news and feature writing this semester which if i can get into would probbbb mean i could score an internship at cnn usually like the morning shows or like wolf blitzer's show is looking for an intern and u just have to show ur taking a class that correlates and junk and they give u credit for the internship and such. i think it would be a lot of fun plus hello, i fucking love cnn. this is my goal.
