Multi-tasking at the gym
So I went to my interview in NYC this past weekend and it went really well : ) they immediately asked me back for a 2nd interview so I'm going back in a few weeks. It's supposedly between myself and one other candidate and I get the feeling that the other candidate is asking for too much money so I think I have the upper hand. They pay pretty well in my opinion even compared to the other MSW jobs there so I'm assuming the other person has worked longer or has a family to support or whatever. I'm optimistic and I have a good feeling about it. I feel like I can relax a little for now...until I have to start organizing the move.
This weekend will be the first weekend in about 2 months that I haven't had to work at Alpha House all weekend or was out of town for various reasons so I'm excited to just be spending time with Alec. I think we're going to be puppy/kitty sitting so that should be fun. We might try to camp outside at the puppy's place too if it's warm enough and we can come up with a tent. Just trying to squeeze in more camping. We never got to go on the camping/kayaking/rock climbing trips we planned at the beginning of the summer.
Other fun stuff coming up...
Trip to Salem,MA with my mom and my older sisters for Halloween festivities. We're staying in an old inn and everything. I'm excited to take a trip with them. It's been years since we've gone on a vaca all together. Only issue is I have to fake sick for 2 days so I can get paid since I don't have any more vacation days like I thought I did. Little nervous about getting in trouble for that but I think it'll end up being ok.
And then the next weekend is wedding weekend! My friend Misti is getting married in Ohio and then the day after my friend Dan is getting married in Grosse Pointe. I'm happy for them and ready to get cute : ) bought a cute dress at forever 21 that I can't wait to wear.
Other than that, I'm predicting that if I get this job, I'll be living in New York City in less than a month from now!!!
