I picked up a pencil again last night for the first time since the con, as I've got a lull in inking for the mo (penciller is making loads of amends so I'm on hold til the end of the week). I started working on what may well be a bit of a cheesecake image, but I don't draw women or DC characters enough so I thought I'd challenge myself.
Supergirl:
I'm really not sure about the straighter leg at the mo, it's still only at the tightening roughs stage, I spent quite a while just roughing shapes with a 5H before peeling it back, but I changed my mind about the right (Brought it up, bent instead of straight as well) so now feel the left leg is off. More pleased with the energy and flow I feel it has now, but just need to get that bit right.
If I get the pencils and inks done quickly, I might have a go at doing a Josh Middleton style colour bash at it before my next few pages come through. We'll see!
On a seperate note I finished reading the Marvel Knights Spider-man trade, (Mark Millar and Terry Dodson run) - Seriously one of the best Spidey books I've read in a LONG time (to be fair, I have been boycotting him a bit) and I really believe that Terry Dodson is up there as one of the difinitive Spider-man artists, and his wife Rachel Dodson's inks are gorgeous.
Right. Coffee.
