Tom and Katie and Demi and Ashton

I hate it when Gary wins a petty argument.

I read on that tomcruiseisnuts.com that if he marries Katie Holmes, each of his wives will have been 11 years younger than the last. Katie Holmes is a year older than me, and I thought it was creepy she would want to marry him, being so old. He asked me "well, what about Demi and her younger guy?"

"That doesn't bother me as much," I admited.

Gary asked "Well, how old is Demi Moore and that Ashton guy?" We googled this and discovered Tom and Demi are the same age, and Ashton and Katie are the same age as each other. So why am I bothered by Katie and Tom (I'm only talking age difference, not the obvious brain washing/creepy alien shit) but not by Demi and Ashton?

Am I inadvertently accepting the sexist premise that young women cannot knowingly and willingly enter into a relationship with older men without him "using" her? And the tangential notion that young men cannot be harmed by relationships with older women (think Mary Kay Latourno)?

Another parallel - Tom converts Katie to Scientology, while Demi converts Punk'd boy to the Kaballah.  Although, I've studied a bit about Kaballah and Scientology, and Kaballah, while being hideously trendy in Hollywood and thus is being bastardized, is not scary like Scientolgy.
