I didn't expect to be cooking on holiday, but I ended up at the stove today regardless.
Making a simple pasta sauce without a recipe has made me realise that while I prefer to have set ingredients and method to not only cooking but also making salads and cocktails, there's also a lot of fun in simply seeing what you have in the pantry or fridge, chucking it in and seeing what happens. Fortunately I haven't had too many disasters so far. But once you've got the basic method in your head, it's fun to play around!
The fact I'm going to Bunbury the weekend I get back will probably give me a lot of opportunity to practice with the cooking biz. Fingers crossed the disaster stats stay at a minimum!
