What's been going on in the rather busy life of tarotemp...

Finally got Eric all moved in and settled at the house after a good many car trips back and forth to Pennsylvania over the last month or so...

Ooops. I just realized I've not mentioned it before, have I? (I'm pretty sure I said something about it on Facebook, but perhaps not). Anywhoodle, after what amounted to pure luck and a timely-sent resume (and multiple interviews and a "trial" work week) he landed a pretty sweet position as Production Manager for Plaza Artist Materials. He'll be in charge of the framing end for seven of the dozen or so shops Plaza owns. Right up his alley and a steady, fat paycheck to boot! I'm hoping to get in on teaching a few classes sometime this summer, as they offer workshops and the like.

We caught a Widespread Panic show last Tuesday in D.C. at the incredibly gorgeous Warner Theatre. Quite a rockin' performance, I must say. We've also got tickets for PHISH in Hershey this summer, and are hoping to land pre-sale tickets for Roger Waters' final tour (he's doing the famous rock opera/concept album The Wall in its entirety).

Despite a couple of hair-pulling setbacks along the way, we found nursing home willing to take Mom in, trach and all. It's still a bit of a ride for everyone involved (up in the high-end hinterlands of Broomall, PA), but, we're hopeful she can be weaned off oxygen enough to get her closer to home. Apart from all that, she's still hanging on like the tough bird she is. Not much change otherwise.

And since I cannot wait two more weeks before I can burn the next couple of episodes onto a DVD, I am planning on watching the latest episode of Doctor Who as soon as I hit "post" and this entry goes live. Huzzah!

life is what you make of it, my crazy adventures w/shirk, who eleven, cats everywhere!, i'm a geeky anglophile
