Ah what a lovely combo. The Fool card is the purity of an individual. Someone who is ready to embark on a path/journey into a world of unknown and uncertainties. It is like the night before a new year when we are excited for the "fresh new start" we are about to have that involved 365 days of a new year. This time gives us a chance to "release" those pieces of our personalities that we feel we could do without and to give us a chance to rebuild ourselves from the inside out. The fool is exactly that. He is the embodiment of change, starting fresh, a new journey, to learn something new.
And it is only appropriate to see DEATH right beside it. The death card is a card of "out with the old and on with the new". It is the door that opens when all others are closed. It is a new beginning. A new life. A new us. A new you.
Do not fear the Death card if it comes up in a reading for yourself. It should be a card of excitement and curiosity because you are headed for uncharted territory. We should all embrace change and newness in our lives. Creating new templates for ourselves and enhancing what we already have.
