"Don't wait up, I won't be coming home"
I'm putting this journal on hiatus.
Since I am sure you guys are used to me not being around, I suppose this is less of a note to you all and more of a note to myself to stay away from LJ. :)
There is a lot of proverbial spring cleaning that I need to do in my life, from little things like finally answering my backlog of RL emails, to middle-sized things like working out some health insurance stuff, to really big things like figuring out what I'm doing with my life when my current job ends. It doesn't actually end until next year (unless I get fired, lol *knock on wood*) but I'd like to have some kind of plan for a "next step" by this fall.
Right now I'm thinking graduate school for an MFA in creative writing (oh, why is it that I have no interests that are practical and financially feasible?). So. That's my big project for the summer! --> Revise two of my original short stories to a point where I'd actually feel confident putting them through the application process (this is going to take forever, LOL). But who knows ... maybe I'll decide to become, I don't know, a roadie. Whatever! This September is my personal deadline for figuring that shit out. ^-^
I have no intention of staying away from LJ forever--I would go insane! Although I definitely won't be posting again until fall, I'll try to drop in and comment occasionally before then. I definitely don't want to lose touch with all of the awesome people around here. (Plus, I have all this wonderful feedback I still need to reply to--thank you, guys! I will get to that soon, and I apologize for not having gotten to it sooner. :( ). And Koffee Klatch, you are out of luck, because me and my cooties are still going to make time for B:TAS =P
So ... I think I've covered everything? I hope everyone has a great summer. I will miss and think of you all!
p.s. I can't believe I picked the summer The Dark Knight comes out to get my act together and go off and focus on RL. Great timing, Christine! I am going to miss all the fandom excitement *sob*
