I probably shouldn't be doing this meme, since I am behind in just about every way possible, but I guess I should've thought of that before requesting things from about half the flist. LOL. And who knows, maybe this will help me get my fandom momentum back ...
MEME: The first fifteen people to comment on this post get to request a drabble (oh heck, or a doodle) from you. In return, they have to post this meme in their journal. Post all fandoms you’re willing to write or draw for. :)
Fandoms/pairings I write: Clark/Bruce, Clois, DC movieverse, Howl/Sophie, Howl's Moving Castle. And I could try other parts of the DCU ... and Heroes. Maybe, lol.
As for doodles, anything goes as long as I can find images of the characters on Google. :)

In other news, I managed to miss my own one-year LJ-versary. Go me! It was on *checks profile* ... October 5th! I wanted to do some kind of requesty thing for it (a requesty thing that was *not* a meme, lol) but ... clearly that didn't happen. ^-^
So instead, I bring quotes from William Gibson's Pattern Recognition! I just discovered his stuff, and am now in love with the man, especially (but not only) because he is the first author I've discovered who weaves internet culture into his stories, and captures the feel of being involved with it so perfectly. Case in point:
"It is a way now, approximately, of being at home. The forum has become one of the most consistent places in her life, like a familiar cafe that exists somehow outside of geography and beyond time zones."
Whee! My home away from home ... even when I am at home! That's the internet-my anchor! *g* And on a random note, for anyone who's been overwhelmed by a chat room before (I like chats, but would never deny that they can get crazy =P):
" ... the chat room she finds not so comforting. It's strange even with friends, like sitting in a pitch-dark cellar conversing with people at a distance of about fifteen feet. The hectic speed, and the brevity of the lines in the thread, plus the feeling that everyone is talking at once, at counter-purposes, deter her."
LOL. Anyway, I can't believe that it's been over a year! I've met so many wonderful people since joining LJ, and I can honestly say that fandom has made my life better. Now I just have to hope that I'll be able to play in it more soon! ^^ *continues to peck at the flist*
Edit: If you scroll to the bottom of the comments, they get a little NSFW. Nothing above a PG-13, but there is a suggestively slashy pic in there, which may not be your co-workers' (or your ^-^) cup of tea. :)
the flist is escaping me,
