After a round of-well, he hated to admit it, but it was what it was-lukewarm sex, Clark Kent lay beside Lois Lane in silence. Both of them were on their backs, sheets pulled up to their armpits, eyes fixed on the ceiling, a healthy couple of inches separating their bodies. There wasn't going to be any cuddling tonight.
The turning of the ceiling

The note passing was funny, especially when Perry snatched it up.
And Bruce/Batman nonchallantly(sp?) asking if Clark/Superman was opposed to sleeping with another man for Lois' enjoyment.. *giggles*

Right now my muses don't seem to be moving this towards a threesome (my muses are pretty uptight, lol ... I haven't even been able to get them to do smut with two people yet), but you never know. Having crack on the brain can lead to unexpected things. *grin*

I got a kick out of that moment, too. Bruce was trying so hard to figure out Clark's sexual, ahem, inclinations without giving his own interest away. Even if B had been less casual about it, though, I think Clark would have remained clueless. Oh, Clark ... *shakes head*
Anyway, I'm glad you're liking it so far, and thanks for the review! :D

Don't worry, I should have the next part out in a week or so. :) The bunnies for this one are pretty savage, so I don't think I'll remain in one piece if I don't pound the continuation out by then--they'll eat me alive!
Anyway, thanks for commenting, and I'm glad to hear you're enjoying my little piece of crack. :)
Oh, and btw, I really liked your superhero_muses essay on Nightwing! I just commented on it, but I wasn't sure if you'd get notified since jen_in_japan did the posting, so I thought I'd give you a heads up *grin*

And the note passing! *dies with laughter!* He wondered if it would be too suspicious if the piece of paper were to spontaneously combust.... "It better be the makings of a hot story" - You're killing me again!!
Other faves:
Thirty. Whole. Minutes. Of my life. Down the drain.
He hadn’t even known that the Watchtower had Scrabble, but apparently it did, along with Yahtzee, Superhero Monopoly, and the first four seasons of MacGyver on DVD.
He did realize what Bruce was referring to now, but the chance to hear Batman sing “Do Re Mi” was too good to pass up.
“Do re mi fa so la ti do,” Bruce rasped in a perfect monotone. -- Ha! Even something for the music teacher side of me!
Christine, you have successfully gotten me to review something outside my comfort zone! *pats you on the back*

Hehehe ... Lois knows how to multitask. ;p

LOL. Oh, and you're a music teacher! I think I remember you mentioning that (maybe when you wrote about Lex's opera music in Deja Vu ...), but my mind insisted on thinking of you as an English teacher for some reason, lol. Do you teach a specific instrument, or something more general (like theory or history)? If you don't mind me asking ^____^
Anyway, thanks so much for the review--especially since it is outside your comfort zone! I actually almost put a warning up that Clois fans should stay away from this fic, lol. I guess it's a good thing I didn't. *grin* In any case, I'm glad you like it so far, and I hope it doesn't get too weird for you. XD

"If I'm going to dominate someone, I really need it to be-" Lois made a low growling noise in the back of her throat, then seemed to become aware of herself again.
*dies* All right, I officially love your Lois, I'm not even sure exactly what she's thinking here but every possibility is hot. :)
As an afterthought, he punctuated the question further by drawing a frowny face.
That is so, so Clark. *grin* And I love/feel bad for poor perry there, intercepting the note! At least he didn't make Clark read it out loud...
“So I haven’t been obnoxiously chipper lately, huh?” Clark finally asked.
“Obnoxious, yes. Chipper, no.”
“Well, something’s better than nothing, right?”
Another pause.
“So. What’s new with you, B?”*falls over laughing* I love the dynamic between the two of them here--Clark's so endearing when he's struggling with issues and trying not to let it affect his work (and failing). And Bruce is so sweet when he's ( ... )

LOL. I don't know what she's thinking here either. She wouldn't tell me, and I'm not sure that I want to know.
Clark's so endearing when he's struggling with issues and trying not to let it affect his work (and failing). And Bruce is so sweet when he's concerned and trying not to show it!
Yay! I'm glad it came across that way. That's what I was going for, but I was a little worried that their interaction would seem unbalanced, with Clark being too frazzled and Bruce being too composed. So it's good to hear that it seemed sweet and not ... out of whack, lol.
I want fan art of Bruce twirling a Scrabble tile like a tiny batarang between his fingers and looking bored!
*adds to list of fan art ideas*
Now, instead of Superhero Monopoly, I wish I had made it Batfamily Scrabble, lol, with all of the little tiles shaped like batarangs ... the idea is very "awwww" inducing. ;p
I have yet to see a well-done ANY Bruce/Clark/Lois storyI haven't come ( ... )

I'm sure part of the difficulty with a C/B/L is that neither Bruce nor Lois strike me as the sharing type, LOL. I think you're halfway there by making Lois the initiator, actually...
