So I got a job offer. Mostly workers comp defense. I'm a little conflicted about that since I usually identify more with the plaintiff's bar. It could be a great starter job. Salary is 60k, 1850 billable hours, benefits, and end of year bonuses, free parking, an office with a window, and get this --Actual responsibility. (Not like the last place I interviewed which was looking for someone to spend a year learning to get through security at the courthouse. My learning curve's a litle better than that thanks.) Plus I really liked the lady who would be my boss- she was very down to earth. I'm trying to be deliberate about it and not jump in just because I got my first offer.
Add on- Oh, great, and now the public defender's office called and wants to interview me. GAH! I feel very conflicted.
