Heeeeey, you guys! It's been a while, huh... unfortunately dislike of LJ and life in general conspired to kick me in the butt, but hopefully I can start using this journal as a cross-stitch updater if nothing else.
I even have some things to put here, a finish or two and a WIP I've been working on for a while.
The WIP first!
Isn't she a beauty? I think she was only half-done the last time I posted her...
I was also missing her backstitch instructions for a very long time, but over the weekend I went through my entire stash looking for something completely unrelated and found them! So that's cool.
I also discovered that I probably have something like 200 projects, both kits and simply patterns. Wow, when did I achieve SABLE? Anyway, I found in there about a baker's dozen of tiny, silly, somewhat kitchy kits, and I've been working on those.
So far the ladybug is my favorite XD I'm so glad I know about Fraycheck; it's saving my life with these darn things, lol!
No idea what I'm going to do with them yet, though I have a half-hearted idea about giving them away to my friends as like... patches or something. Still thinking about that one. I also might trim down the rose one a bit more, it looks bulky compared to the ladybug one.
Finally, I have the last of this weird artsy vegetable kit. There was also an eggplant (which I gave to my folks) and a green pepper (which I still have). Hopefully I'll decide what to do with them... maybe I'll use them to practice my framing skills with. That wouldn't be a bad use for them. XD
