Do you consider yourself to be adventurous?
I used to be adventurous. I would be the one to act first and think later - or more often let Elrond do the thinking for both of us. That got me into trouble quite a few times when I was young and considering that we lived in a land at war that trouble was rarely a thing to dismissed lightly.
Age, wisdom and responsibility forced me to abandon my adventurous tendencies until the point came that I no longer wished for such things.
These days I only wish for happiness, for myself, my brother and his family which has become mine.
