What makes you jealous and how do you deal with it?

I have felt this dark emotion of late, worried myself, probably unnecessarily, about others taking Elrond away from me and it disturbs me greatly as I know he would not let such a separation happen.
How do I deal with it? I have spoken to Elrond privately about my worries, he has assured me it will never happen and I try my best to keep faith in that reassurance.
