Summary: Three thousand years after being trapped in a lamp, the all-powerful genie, Jafar, once known as Yusuf, is awoken by yet another new master. Nicolò di Genova, a Christian soldier and priest, believes Jafar is a demon sent to tempt him and refuses to make wishes. Genies are Djinn, and Djinn are tricksters, but Jafar gets more than he bargains for when he chooses to interpret his master's dying words as a wish for everlasting life.
