McShep Awards....
OH WOW!!
When I gave the winners list a quick glance a couple of days back, the first few categories were just as I expected so I gave up checking any further. Awards tend to be popularity contests--and simply put, I'm not popular.
Last evening several BIG hints were dropped, telling me to go check out the awards. I have to admit that I was tempted after seeing all the shiny banners displayed by some exceptional but often overlooked authors...but I was really, REALLY tired--slumped over my keyboard with a tension/fatigue headache and sore eyes tired--so I went to bed instead!
I'm still tired but I'm not working today...yet it still took half an hour to gather the courage and persuade myself to go check it out, thinking maybe I won a Puddlejumper award as there was no way I'd win anything else. Instead....
All I can say now is WOW!!! and THANK YOU!!! to everyone who enjoyed my stories enough to vote for them!
