Finally found time to watch a couple more Traders episodes and, of course, I had to cap them at the same time :-)
Traders 4x62 - The Price You Pay
Just the one tiny scene in this episode. Chris Todson is being a real jerk about the break-up of his relationship with Niko and Grant gives him a little advice while on the trading floor, that he should talk to her. Of course, Chris gets uptight and has a go at Grant telling him he would have to be really desperate to take Grant's advice on relationships. Marty intervenes telling Chris not to shout at Grant - that Grant's the only one making any money so not to upset him.
The rest of the episode deals with Sally and her cancer and Paul Deeds. Paul is desperate to land a deal having had a bad time of late. He finds a good deal that could save hm BUT the only way to close the deal is to prostitute himself to the man who will sign the papers, Andrew, even though Paul has never been with another man before. He goes to Andrew's hotel room and leaves later with the signed documents.
Traders 4x63 - The History Lesson
Adam's 16 year-old niece turns up at GRC and Grant is the only one to notice the stranger walking around...revealing a terrible lax in security! When Grant sees Sally stumble on the stairs, he gets suspicious and hacks into her files, discovering that he has cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy. Later, he rushes onto the trading floor with a 'magazine' in hand. He found the copy in the recycling bin next to the photocopier. It is one of those 'homemade' magazines denigrating the people at GRC, calling Grant a 'freakazoid', having a go at Chris for his inability to handle his break-up with Niko, and tearing into Marty for his lack of morals. The magazine was written/edited by Adam's niece. Instead of upsetting everyone, they have a laugh over it.
In the meantime, Marty's marriage is in difficulty. He and Barb see a marriage guidance counselor but the impression is that it did not go well, and Marty is reluctant to go home these days having already seen proof that Barb is having an affair. Sally's chemo is making her tired and sick, and she has noticed some hair loss already.
Last scene, Grant confronts Justine by the photocopier, telling her he knows about the cancer and asking if Sally is dying.
Personal note: Grant seems to have made his peace with Sally following Jack's death so it is easy to see how the fear of losing yet another person he cares about might be worrying him. He lost Ann and Jack (both murdered), we do not see or hear anything regarding Donald so he may not even be around anymore. That leaves only a few people that Grant 'loves'.
