BOOKS/FAN STUFF **** POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT **** I have an old Kindle Paperwhite (5th GEN first registered in 2012!) and recently it kept rebooting and was SO. SLOW. I realized I had simply loaded too much on it over the years and it was running out of memory for even the most basic commands. Unfortunately, it would not stay on long enough for me to even start deleting stuff and would not connect to the WiFi to handle it through Amazon so that left me with one last option - factory reset. Most of the stories are saved in folders on my PC so I haven't lost anything other than the list of all those stories I considered favorites - they had not synced up with Amazon unfortunately. Oh well... I shall have to find each of those stories when I have the urge to re-read them :)
FANFICTION: Still mostly The Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity, Word of Honor and other Asian dramas.
BOOKS: And I still have Surviving the Evacuation Part 9: Ireland by Frank Tayell to make a start on reading but I have set it up on my Kindle to read. I'm still slowly reading the translation for Advance Bravely - it is a terrible translation, probably done by AI but as I know the main gist of it from the series I am filling in the gaps and laughing at some of the poor word/phrase choices :)

FANVIDS: I have re-watched a lot of Word of Honor favorites this week.

Famous - Huntress - lots of great action sequences, perfectly timed!
He Likes Boys - GeGe Ai Ni - this makes me laugh every time!
Chosen Family - Wujikisses - sweet fanvid of Zhou Zishu (ZZS), Wen Kexing (WKX) and their 'kids' Zhang Cheng Ling and Gu Xiang, and Cao Weining
Beautiful Mess - Solariene - absolutely beautiful fanvid mapping the love story of ZZS and WKX
Love Story - Crying Raven - another fun 'crack' fanvid that was beautifully done
Someone to Stay - Luna Blake - another beautiful take on their love story

TV SHOWS: I've been on new 'puppy-watch' so not had as much time to sit at my PC.
911: 'Bees! Bees! Millions of Bees!', one of my favorite lines of all time along with, 'And I never dreamed that it would turn out to be the bees. They've always been our friend' from the movie THE SWARM. It's actually pretty terrifying, though I still think wasps are slightly scarier. Stinging is not a last resort for a wasp so they can be more aggressive. We had a wasp nest under the eaves of my previous home and there was probably only around 2-300 wasps but I sealed all the doors and windows and called in a specialist immediately! I've been stung by wasps a few times in my life... not pleasant!
As for the episode, lots of great and scary moments with bee attacks throughout. Eddie looks weird with a mustache. I honestly thought Buck was going to punch Gerrard at the end there, not save his life from a rotary saw blade missile! However, Gerrard is injured.... will this be how we get Bobby back?
911 Lone Star: Overall two pretty good episodes though the second was really suspenseful with the cargo train crash. Now we have to wait until next week to see if Marjan makes it as she's just been thrown quite some distance - I wonder if they will have her injured with blast-lung. I kept hoping the guy int he car would mention he saw the guy on the top of the train waving to him. Perhaps that will happen next week. I hope Judd gets his job back otherwise I think Mateo has proved himself very capable and has already served once as a lieutenant. I heard that the reason why there is so much exposition on Grace is because she will not be returning to the show, plus I heard this will be the final season unless the show gets picked up by another network.
Ashes of Love: Not seen any episodes this week as too much else to watch!
Everyone Wants to Meet You: Over the past two weeks I practically mainlined this Chinese series of 36 episodes (on Rakuten Viki) about a guy (Zhang Min|Chi) who is the General Manager of a hotel and the heir to the hotel company but it turns out the true heir went missing 20 years ago and Zhang Min|Chi has been brought up as a stand-in so the father does not lose control of the family business to his wife's younger brother, who is a problem gambler. Zhang Min|Chi meets and falls in love with Luo Xi and all the coincidences start lining up as she is an orphan and her best friend, Tao Lun, who also believes he is in love with her, turns out to be the true missing heir. Lots of misunderstandings, double-dealing and a final reveal of the true villain. I really enjoyed the series.
Most of the way through I disliked Zhang Min|Chi's father because of the way he treated him, often by hitting him, quite viciously on one occasion so you know it is NOT the first time. However, the final episode has a scene where Zhang Min|Chi is hit by a car and for the first time we see his father truly proving he does love him too. I felt so sorry for Zhang Min/Chi as he was just a child when he was brought into the home with the wife not knowing he was actually the lovechild of her husband with his mistress. The mistress even deliberately scalded her own son, on the father's request, just to give him a similar burn to the one the real Zhang Min had. He was just 5-6 years old at the time.
Tao Lun starts off as a nice person BUT becomes quite resentful and aims that rage towards Zhang Min, accusing him of stealing his life and now his girl. In the end they do make peace, especially after he is reprimanded by his 'older brother' from the welfare/orphanage home who reminds him of their rules about taking something with permission, but how Zhang Min|Chi was just a child who had those things thrust into his pockets and once Tao Lun turned up he relinquished everything willingly... basically handing over his entire life to Tao Lun, leaving himself with nothing. In a way they were both victims but at least the father stood by BOTH of his sons at the end.
Gyeongseong Creature: Season 2 is out and it is very good. I ended up mainlining it. So many interesting characters and situations. Lots of great fight scenes and the CGI for the monsters is top-notch. I love how they have brought it forward to present day and finding out what happened to each of them in those intervening years. I like the set-up for season 3 (if we get one) with Lady Maeda dead and her 'son' taking over. Very creepy ending that will send the world into chaos. I'm glad Yoon Chao-ok still subconsciously recognizes Jang Tae-sang even though she lost her memories.
Rescue Hi-Surf: Hmmmm.... I love all the rescues but they are over so quickly and the rest of the show is so much melodrama I was using the Fast-forward. I've seen the first 3 episodes and I will reserve full judgement until I've seen one or two more episodes. This would be a great show for those that enjoy soap opera with a little action, but I'm the opposite and prefer a lot of action with just a little melodrama to give the characters some depth.
The Walking Dead - Daryl Dixon: new season started and I have yet to start watching as I do prefer to see multiple episodes at a time rather than weekly.
The Walking Dead - The Ones Who Live: I still need to watch this.

I've seen the first 3 episodes and I will reserve full judgement until I've seen one or two more episodes. This would be a great show for those that enjoy soap opera with a little action, but I'm the opposite and prefer a lot of action with just a little melodrama to give the characters some depth.
The Walking Dead - Daryl Dixon: new season started and I have yet to start watching as I do prefer to see multiple episodes at a time rather than weekly.
