Pragmatism
Pragmatism sucks.
Whenever I practice it, I feel like I snatched the candy out of a kid's hand and stomped on their favorite toy.
I always feel like the bad guy. The party police. The kill joy.
Adults are dangerous things. Sometimes worse then children. Children you can just knock over and they back down pretty quickly from the argument. Adults are far more ... unpredictable.
Sidenote: No I do not practice child abuse as a form of discipline ... just for the fun of it. (sound effect) Ba dum bum.
No really, when little kids get nasty with me, I do think about it. Just like if I am driving and I see people at a bus stop, I contemplate anonymity and infamy. To keep on driving or run them over. Or if I walk by a balloon vendor, what would I do if I had a pair of scissors on hand?
