Dissertation goals:
• Reread draft
• Discuss draft and necessary revisions with advisor R
• Write conclusion
• Implement revisions on introduction
• Implement revisions on Dol-Combourg chapter
• Implement revisions on disputes chapter
• Fix up footnotes
• Prepare bibliography DRAFT ACHIEVED
• Prepare revised bibliography
• Prepare appendices [HA HA NOPE]
• Write talk for dissertation defense
• ALL THE FORMATTING TO SPEC FOR SUBMISSION
• AUGUST 12: DISSERTATION DEFENSE
• AUGUST 19: DISSERTATION SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Other academic work:
• Figure out students' reading assignments [IN PROGRESS]
• Submit fall book orders ASAP
• Deal with making defense and submission dates official with gsas
• Prepare syllabus for fall
• Start preparing lectures for fall
• Deal with any pre-semester student stuff [IN PROGRESS]
• Attend new faculty orientation [HA HA NOPE]
• Start teaching, August 31
Non-academic stuff to do:
• Take corrected visa paperwork to HR
• MAKE DECISIONS about benefits
• Do HR/benefits paperwork
• Contact realtor
• Find apartment [FOUND, APPROVAL PENDING]
• Sign lease
• Contact realtor about keys/moving once back in Boston
• Pick up keys
• Move offices
• Call moving companies [A RESOUNDING NOPE]
• Organize apartment move [IN PROGRESS]
• Pack for apartment move [IN PROGRESS]
• Email Lauren
• Email Laurie
• Phone calls with Lauren and Laurie
• Oversee online bill payments
• Deal with RCN termination/move
• Prepare shoes for return
• Print return label for box of shoes #3
• Return box of shoes #3 to Zappos
• Keep self in clean clothes
• Try to find time to fight bathroom squalor at least once
• Go to bank branch and deposit money order
• Trip home, August 20-28
• Finish Lord of the Rings reread
• Resume posting to LJ/DW
