It's June and I'm flirting with disaster. Here's what I have to do this month to prevent the sky from falling:
Dissertation writing goals:
MAKE A REAL TO DO LIST ELSEWHERE THERE IS TOO MUCH FOR THIS ENTRY
FINISH PRIORIES CHAPTER !!!!!!!!!!!
FINISH PRIORIES CHAPTER APPENDIX [IN PROGRESS]
READ ALL THE THINGS FOR ARISTOCRATIC NETWORKS CHAPTER [IN PROGRESS]
MAJOR PROGRESS ON ARISTOCRATIC NETWORKS CHAPTER [IN PROGRESS]
SUBMIT PRIORIES CHAPTER TO ADVISOR R JUNE 16
SUBMIT CHAPTER OUTLINE AND PROGRESS REPORT TO ADVISOR R JUNE 16
COMMUNICATE WITH PROF G AND RBARTZ AS NECESSARY [IN PROGRESS]
Other academic work:
• Start meditating on core part 2 syllabus [IN PROGRESS]
• Decide on books for fall
• Submit book order
• After June 16, start working on Leeds paper alongside aristocratic networks chapter [IN PROGRESS]
• Reply to email from Leeds panel mod
• Write up Leeds paper abstract
• Communicate Leeds paper abstract to panel mod
• Have Leeds paper close to done by end of month
• Talk to advisor R about article revisions
• Get in touch with LG about article revisions
• Get in touch with TNB/NB about article revisions
• Do some revisions, June 17
• Schedule dissertation defense with advisor R, prof G, RBartz [IN PROGRESS]
• Get in touch with OISS about new visa situation
• Deal with demands of new visa situation
• Pay SEVIS fee
• Deal with hiring paperwork for fall [IN PROGRESS]
• Attend benefits orientation, Monday, June 29, 9:00 am
• Life update for erstwhile advisor A?
Non-academic stuff to do:
• Phone call with Lauren
• Phone call with Laurie
• Skype times with parental units
• Skype with Morgayne
• RSVP to various pre-wedding activities
• Get in touch with landlady P re: her phone call, next year
• Talk to CR about realtor
• Contact realtor
• Update former roommate J about summer
• Get prints of snow photos for PP
• Email MB, see how she's doing
• Determine whether car rental will be necessary for wedding
• Reserve rental car
• Deposit June rent cheques from J and T
• Collect and deposit July rent cheques from J and T
• Keep on top of banking
• Watch over online bill payments
• Settle utilities bills with housemates
• Send July rent cheque to landlady P
• Keep up weekly bathroom cleaning as much as possible
• Apply liquid plumber to bathroom drain
• Sweep floors weekly as much as possible
• Actually enact donation of clothes waiting to be donated
• Do some room cleaning [IN PROGRESS]
• Keep self in non-takeout food as much as possible
• Initiate apartment hunt if time is right
• Attend dentist appointment, 10:00am June 19
• Return shoes to zappos
• Return shoes to zappos 2
• Get dress dry-cleaned before wedding
• Get dresses drycleaned 2 au pluriel
• Make haircut appointment
• Get haircut, Wednesday June 17, 4:00pm
• Attend pre-wedding festivities
• Attend Marek and Z's wedding!!!
• Lunch with Grandpapa while home
• Tea with Nana while home
• Do some non-fanfic reading for fun
• Sherlock rewatch
• Post regularly to DW/LJ
