I think I can very tentatively say (knock wood, which according to an interesting article I read recently, is effective not because it calls forth supernatural powers, but rather, because the brain-body connection is real, and it falls into a category of motions of warding-off that have real cognitive effects. Interestingly, knocking toward yourself when you knock on wood isn't as effective!) that things are coming together. I'm starting to vaguely discern the form of this chapter, which is good, given that I'm presenting it a week today. I have the weekend to dig into drafting it.

More importantly, I think I've decided what I'm going to wear for my presentation, which is a great weight off my mind. When I got home tonight, I had firm intentions of describing it, and my other recent wardrobe acquisitions, in great detail. Now, however, my morning of teaching has caught up to me, as has my evening of wading through the weeds of various charter witness-lists and writing about them.

It's bedtime, the better to resume work at a respectable hour in the morning.

Oh, but in Canucks news, the Sedins signed a four-year contract extension today - with different hands, apparently, because as we've only learned today, Henrik is right-handed and Daniel is left-handed. That, and Pavel Bure's number is being retired today/tomorrow, which makes me feel ooooold and nostalgic!
