My master plan for the next month and three days before I leave for France involves flying home two weeks today, and... *gurgle of panic.* You can look my master to-do list up for yourselves and see what all I have left to do. Between the hideous panic and the fact that it's a beautiful (and nice-smelling!) morning, all I really want to do is keep sitting in what is for now still my kitchen and maybe have another cup of tea. Sigh.
However, time waits for no woman and all that. Here's what I have to do today:
Decide if I really want to fly home on the 31st aka the first of two days of Boston being immobilized by moving trucks
Communicate that decision to my mom ASAP
Put out the call for Boston people to keep my boxes next year
Email prof G re: storing my office stuff in her office
Email Susan S re: getting I-20 signed, INS/Homeland security/SEVIS strategy for next year
Take bag of old bills and bank statements to campus for secure disposal
Do another round of sorting clothes to be donated/gotten rid of
Start going through old magazines
Scan more articles
Start scanning Latin grammar book
Start packing dishes/small items in office
Bring home old notebooks to be sent home
Read something from August/September reading list
Rereading in preparation for meeting with advisor R
Read article in French
Write summary of article in French
Listen to French podcasts
Cook supper with items from pantry and fridge
