Yes, there is significant time pressure surrounding this database project, because of the seminar paper you have due for advisor R at the beginning of May, and because of your K'zoo paper. That is true. However, if your first attempt doesn't work, it is not the end of the world. Once you have built and used the database for these two papers, you will have time to re-evaluate it. If it is a disaster, you will be able to fix it, or if it is unsalvageable, even start it over again.
Therefore, click on "create a new database" already. Whatever happens after that does not have to be the be-all and end-all of all databases ever.
