I'm now lurking at my gate in Seattle (C2-gate destinations represent!) among my people, who are very white, mostly retired, and flying back from Mexico. Sigh.
Anyway, things that I've learned in the past don't make transcontinental or other 6+ hour flights go faster: grading. Things that I've learned in the past six hours that do make transcontinental flights go faster: working on my Yuletide story, especially given the structural complexity of said Yuletide story. But I'm making progress.
Now only 50 minutes, an hour in a turboprop, baggage claim, and Canada customs stand between me and la famille, and 50km after that, home!
