(no subject)

I'm back from Paris, where I was menaced by neither bedbugs nor terrorists, and am now feeling very "DON'T WANOOOOO!" on the subject of going back to the archives this afternoon. But alas, I'm going to have to head out soon, because I'm sure that la ménage is coming to infiltrate my room any minute. I've washed my dishes, and will be intermittently tidying things up for the next few minutes between sentences, so that I don't leave my room in an embarrassing mess. I am definitely not going to miss la ménage.

On that note, as of this weekend, I've now passed the halfway point of my trip, and in fact, as of tomorrow, I only have two weeks left in Angers. I'm feeling pretty ACK about that. For one thing, I have to wrap up at the archives départementales (including deciding if I try and explain my departure to the archivists and thank them for their help), and start working at the biliothèque municipale, which is a terrifying prospect. For another, I've got to start thinking about using up my residence dining fees, packing my stuff back up, sending everything heavy home (and jettisoning as much as I can that I've bought to use here), and hauling everything else around Brittany. I'm daunted!

Anyway, I owe an update about Paris, but I can now hear la ménage working a couple of rooms over, donc il me faut vraiement partir dès maintenant.
