I'm in the Seattle airport, and I have two hours of layover left, and I'm BORED, and I'm sleepy, and erstwhile British advisor A is mocking me on facebook.

I almost wish I had some exams to grade.

So now, to set up my voicemail before I have to bid sad, sad farewell to most of my iPhone's functionality while I'm at home, to curl up on top of a pile of all my worldly wealth, technology, and identification and go to sleep, or to go back to the main food court and get coffee as erstwhile British advisor's mocking has suggested?

There's probably still time for all of the above, actually.

Maybe I'll have cappucino. Because it's not like I'm trying to cut back on caffeine for the summer or anything. Not at all like that.

It also strikes me that among the many skills I'm going to need to acquire before I go on the academic job market, arriving in an airport looking presentable is definitely one. I currently feel and look, after one piddling six-hour flight, like I need about ten showers.

erstwhile british advisor, and me one traveller
