The more it snows (tiddley pom)...

Happy first day of spring, everyone, and I'll go back to frolicking in the snow and icy, icy north wind, because in the Great Realm and City of Hamilton today it has been much colder than it was at almost any point in December, January, or February. I'm sure I'll regret having said it when it gets muggy and fetid out in a few weeks here, but I wish spring would just come already. I'm sick of having to wear a coat and besides, I still haven't had a chance to wear any of the clothes I got for my birthday because it hasn't been warm enough!

On that note, tiniest_pull, one of my friends from high school who has recently joined the cult that is LJ gotten a livejournal, posted some pictures of summertime at home in the BC interior. I hope she doesn't mind that I've grabbed a couple to repost them here for the rest of you to see.

Kal (because Kalamalka is long, dammit!) Lake looking south toward Oyama, Woods Lake, Winfield, and eventually, Kelowna.

So let's see. I finally got around to taking my take-home Horace quiz this morning - quel désastre. I suspect I'll have to request a zero rather than humiliate myself by handing it in. In a compromised frame of mind from that, I went to Medieval Italy class, only to have Prof C start publicizing the courses he's going to be teaching next semester after I'm gooooooooone!!! Yes, that required some rapid emergency blinking to keep myself from bursting into tears... doesn't bode well for my last little while here, urg. Anyway, Medieval Italy did cheer me up, and at some point I decided the Latin quiz wasn't such a big deal, and I went on to have a pretty goodif unremarkable day.

Now, for a bit more memorization toward my recitation tomorrow afternoon. Then I'll have to get up early tomorrow - going to talk to Prof C about the latest version of my thesis. 9 more days...
