Sequels... a long one...

Sequels are rarely ever as good as the original. Occasionally you'll get one that's even better than the original.... but I can't think of any off hand. Most of the time they're just playing off the jokes that were funny in the first one but are just tired in the repeating.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 wasn't as good as the original. Still, getting the chance to take my little sister to see it was precious to me. The opportunity to have some sister time helped me put a bit more perspective on things. Commiserating over $6 concession stand pizzas so stale an entire slice of each was hard as a rock and flat out uneatable while another quarter was reduced to near cinders from being too close to the heating element. Introducing her to kettle corn. (honestly, who hasn't tried kettle corn?!) Holding hands and resting my head on her shoulder, then giggling during a completely un-funny-movie-moment because her freakin-enormous earring got caught in my hair. I love her so much.

My TEN YEAR High School Reunion will be rushing right up to smack me in the back of the head here in a little over 18 months. TEN YEARS?!?! Freakin Heck! I'm making efforts to at least look as.. (good?) erm... well, as much like I did when I was wearing that stupid white robe thingy and square tassel hat. (but hopefully with better hair.) I don't have much time and of late I have been enlisting professional help. We'll call her Brooke. *grin* it's a Legally Blond the Musical reference... She's a personal trainer and she pretty much wipes the floor with me every time we meet up... and then gives me a list detailing how to come back on my own twice more that week and do it again.

I hurt. Everywhere. Almost Constantly. :p

Here's my theory. You've heard of Carbon Offset Credits? I'm totally instituting exercise offset credits. I really don't want to be exercising... Brooke exercises almost constantly. I'll buy exercise credits from Brooke. I pay her, she exercises, and everyone is happy. The exercise is done. What does it matter who did it? :) No? Well... I'll have to put a bit more thought into this one.

And here we continue the list of reasons why people get married:

Reason # 13: For someone to help them be aware of the time.

Reason # 14: For a workout partner.

reasons, character, time, family, school
