Okay, okay! Here it is finally... A NEW UPDATE!

Dec 01, 2004 14:34

Let's see... I'll start with last weekend...

Having packed our bags in the car the night before so we wouldn’t have to head home first, we got out of work Wednesday at about 5:20 and headed out of Indy. Or at least tried to. Unfortunately, we missed the I70 exit to I465 from downtown, and by the time we got ourselves all turned around and close to ( Read more... )

Well, looking at the date on this, I probably am way too late to reply… but I will anyway. ;)

...stopped for dinner at Pizza Hut (Yes, Jeff, I know, but it tastes so good.) ;)…
>Well, I'm sure guilt washes away arterial cholesterol. (Did you at LEAST have a salad?)

Of COURSE not. No salad for me at a pizza place. ;)

...we saw that the waitress had given us some sort of special...
>Wow. That's a strong rationalization away from feeling obligated to correct the server's
>calculations. So you got your meal fast and properly arranged - AND you took advantage of her
>error, too? For shaaaaaaame.

I doubt it was a miscalculation. They used one of those neat, nifty touch screens, and everything was listed - just no prices until you got to the total. (I think it might even have said “dinner deal” or something.) Hmph. Thinking I would take advantage of a calculation error.

...I was much happier where I could at least partially control what was happening...
>Actually, I will point out that being asleep in an accident is a lot safer than being awake - limbs

I never said it was SAFER. I said that I was HAPPIER. ;) I’m much happier if I am in control of the motor vehicle (although I can and have given the keys to someone else if I don’t feel I can drive safely.)

...I had one of the best BLTs in my life...
>Because life just can't have enough bacon. Good old high-fat cooked in its own fat bacon.

Yup, that’s the bacon. ;)

...We did manage to escape being carded, although I am not sure if that was because of Chris or we simply managed to slip in before security was paying attention...
>Or because you have the general appearance of someone older than twenty? (Not being a
>familiar to haunts that ask for ID, I can only surmise that sometimes they wing it.)

Actually, they are supposed to card anyone who looks younger than 35 (I think that’s the age now - and that particular bar tends to card everyone regardless of age). And they were carding people who came in after us. In fact, Joe went out to the car then came back in, and they carded him when he came back in. So I’m guessing it was before security started paying attention (the bouncer wasn’t at the door when we first walked in, he appeared after we sat down).

...I am unhealthy fascinated with...
>Ahem. "I am unhealthily fascinated with" or "I have an unhealthy fascination with".

*sigh* It was SUPPOSED to be “unhealthily”.

...I owe several people emails and posts in games, and I will get to them, I promise - probably this weekend...
>So noted. :)

Riiight… everyone saw how fast I hopped on that, didn’t ya? ;)
