Yet again....

....I think I'm cursed.

First, I'm sick last week. It sucks.

But then, we get a new(er) car on Thursday night. Yay! Friday, we find out we need to take it back for (luckly, under-warranty) repairs. Boo! (Nothing serious, just the interior display lighting for the dash flickering on and off while driving with the headlights on. Still needs to be fixed though.)

So... Friday we don't game, I think the three of us in the household just relaxed, went out to get celebratory dinner. Then we watched anime (introduced Joe L. to Hanibane Renmei). It was an okay day.

Saturday... got up and went to the eyedoctor's. Got my exam, but couldn't pick out new glasses, because the eyedoctor didn't have all the needed info on my insurance. Made arrangements to come back Monday night. Went home and cleaned, but had much fun gaming once people arrived. Stayed up too late. Was not feeling good again when I went to bed, but thought it was because of the time (I often don't feel good when I don't get enough sleep).

Sunday... woke up in pain (back and legs, for some reason) and feeling generally blah and ick. Spent most of the day reading. Found out about halfway through the day that Joe thought I was mad at him because of my attitude that morning (I am short-tempered and gloomy when I don't feel well and/or am in pain). Anyway, we talked and cleared it up. Unfortunately, I was in a total fog the whole day and ended up not working on Return of Shadow and on cleaning up my old car to get it ready to sell. Bad me.

Monday... busy day at work. Drove Joe's van so he could take the SUV to work and drop it off at the dealership afterward. I went straight to the dealership after work and picked him up, then went back to the eyedoctor's, to find that my insurance doesn't cover eyeglasses. WHAT? Went home and looked up my information. Yup, they give a discount on glasses. They cover contacts, though. Bullcrap. So now I was overheated (no air in the van), hungry, and pissed. Good combo. Ate dinner, read some more on Customers Suck.com (a must for anyone who has ever worked retail or tech support). Sat down to sort through the bills while watching Resident Evil 2 again. Found what looks like SBC and MCI both charged me for April for phone service. Called MCI and got some info, called SBC and was told that the Customer Service dept was closed. Sigh. Oh, yeah, that's one of the reasons why I switched in the first place. Made mental note to call back Tuesday night when I get home.

Tuesday (today)... another semi-busy day at work, along with one of my business partners deciding to change a bunch of details of the award ceremony that we'd planned for this Friday. We'd had these plans for over a month. But now I have to change half the details and come up with a photographer somewhere. Okay, whatever. The dealership better have left a message on the machine when I get home (preferrably something along the lines of "your vehicle is ready to be picked up"). Speaking of vehicles, I realized that I drove to work without my license. Oh, joy. With expired plates (I had to drivve my old vehicle). Joy, joy. With a bright green "abandoned car" warning tag that the apartment complex cop slapped on my rear window. Yup. Apparently sitting in the same parking place for 4 (yes, *gasp* four) days is considered abandoned. Hell, I've been on vacation a week before, who's to say I'm not now? I am not happy. I couldn't even get the damn thing off. So, I'm just hoping that no cop comes by where I parked and gives me a ticket or tows it. So, I have to go take care of that when I get home (have to go to the apartment complex and ask them why the hell they singled me out instead of the car I parked next to, that's been there at least a week - and I think more like two - and that is held together by bungee cords and rope?!?!!? Not to mention the piece of crap with three flat tires that has sat on the other side of the building in the same parking space for 2 months).

Lord, it's enough to make me want to strangle someone.
