We get closer to Chicago, and end up on an expressway where we were going - I kid you not - 11 mph. Fun. In a construction zone.

Oh, well at least it wasn't going SLOW... ;) (and I bet you think I'm kidding.)

However, marking where the merge was to be was apparently beyond them, as there were no real traffic lines after the tollbooths - it was kind of a free-for-all.

Yes, that drives a lot of us nuts, and you weren't even on the worst offender (which is I-90 eastbound).

I couldn’t really put my finger on it, but something just was odd with the layout.

It could be the fact that we have end-units with their own driveways to the street, and middle-units with shared driveways. I found that odd but very cool given that we got an end-unit. The middle units are much too vertical for me anyway.

other than Rich and Noel, I can’t remember anyone’s name

The other lady was Tracy aka ladysilverlark, and the fellow you were playing Chez Geek with was Ernie. You also played PS2 with Mike, but he left very early on.

I just hope that Rich and Noel ( ... )

Nope. I’ve driven in downtown Chicago before. Never Again. ;-)

I think Jeff mentioned that. Frankly, I’m surprised that those booths aren’t constantly full of accidents.

Might be it. :-) It was cool, just…. Odd.

Thanks for refreshing my swiss-cheese memory!

Bah, I've known much stranger. :) If we minded, we'd not have offered the futon, silly. We enjoyed your company and I'm glad you were able to make it.Very much enjoyed it - that’s the type of B- ( ... )
