Some creeper jumped my sister today while she was coming home from her walk. She's okay, not hurt or anything. The guy took off when she started screaming. But she's pretty shook up. Mom and I spent the rest of the afternoon in major comfort mode. Lots of hugs and prayers, tea, washing out her muddy clothes, and happy cartoons with popcorn. After calling the police and our neighborhood watch patrol and filing a report of course.
We live in a pretty safe neighborhood for the most part so this kind of thing is unexpected. Ally's been able to take walks by her lonesome before with no problems. (And if anyone was going to get assaulted I would've thought it'd be little petite 90-pound me who somehow made it through plural nighttime treks around downtown L.A. without ever getting attacked at all. The irony of this situation is not lost on me.) So I'm pretty sure this is an isolated incident. Nevertheless, it's still incredibly disconcerting and it raises my righteous indignations and makes me want to go Mama Bear on someone's ass. I'm not usually one to swear but literally the first thing I did when Ally made it home was to think a very profane, "Nobody f---s with my baby sister asshole." at the creep. (I still plan on saying this if we ever see the jerk again. Forgive me in advance Lord.)
Anyway, authorities and watch patrol are on alert and lookout, and we're praying for a quick resolution and apprehension of the felon responsible. In the meantime, I am assigning myself as my sister's official walk-buddy and sticking to her like glue. NO ONE messes with my sister.
