Millennia ago the Ancients ruled an Empire, which fell into civil war and ruin. Years later an invading Asuran Fleet conquers the independent planet states, wiping out civilizations linked to the Ancients. One such civilization is a winged race of warriors bred for war against the Asurans. John Sheppard, one of the few survivors of the genocide lives on in slavery. Until rumours of a lost city surface, and hope blooms in a galaxy under the heel of tyranny. Atlantis. *is nervous*
