Closing a chapter
I start a new job tomorrow.
Friday was my last day and oh boy was it difficult. I managed to keep the tears to a minimum until randomly I burst into tears with the one person I wasn't ALL that broken up about leaving *lol and headsdesk* All the cumulative farewells finally caught up with me I guess.
I was very keen to leave the company itself, as its been a stressful, hard 11 years and more so the last couple of years. However, I am really going to miss my friends and colleagues. The tears were for them and the memories of shared experiences, laughter and companionship.
A new chapter starts tomorrow. New faces, new challenges and hopefully more time for fic, writing and being creative/productive.
The closing months of 2014 and the opening months of 2015 have truly been the final scenes of a chapter of my life. If I am ever able to coherently compile a post about the full story of these past few months, I will. Grief is a strange emotion.
