Movie Review: Guardians of the Galaxy

What drew me to this movie? Well, 1) an excellent cast, chock full of actors I love/like 2) its Marvel and 3) its the story set in space with aliens and battles and a cocky hero.

Kinda made for me.

Naturally, I watched it.

And I really liked it :D Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) was a charming, endearing Han Solo-esque character, full of passion and humour and awesomeness.
Gamora is delightfully complex, broken and bamf, acted with aplomb by Zoe Saldana.
It cracked me up no end that Vin Diesel was the voice of Groot. Groot was awesome, but why did we need Vin Diesel?
If I were to change anything, I'd have Bradely Cooper actually 'be' in the movie. Rocket was wonderful, just as complex and bamf as Gamroa, but why waste Bradley on a voice role?
Drax was great. Neubula was cool (but I miss Amy). I loved the mythos and drama and space epicness. It was ALL wonderful.

Yet, yet, it was lacking something. The soundtrack was great. The supporting cast was great. There were epic, wonderful moments, and yet, I did not leave the movie with that 'Yes!' feeling. Its a good movie. I liked it, a lot. But it was missing something *shrugs*
