(no subject)
Wow it's been awhile since I posted. Nothing much been really happening in my life, though I seem to be very busy still. Still looking for work though I have an interview on Tuesday! First one since quitting in December, I know I really need a job but feeling very lazy about going back to work.
My costume group has also been keeping me busy. Seems like every other weekend there's a Con or fundraiser or a birthday. There's a 21st the next weekend and then I'm up to Sydney for another Con and then two weeks after that there's another con in Melb! Also have a few costumes in the works, very unmotivated to actually do sewing though. By the time I'm out of bed and actually functioning these days there really is no point getting out the sewing machine. Probably a really good reason to get a job.
Anyway currently started are Elizabeth Swann male pirate (or the Penny Rose costume) and Princess Buttercups red riding dress. Also bought material today for Eowyns Refugee outfit. Have a couple others I'm keeping an eye out for material but they really won't be started or even thought about before next year. The real conundrum is what to do for the Hobbit premiere this year. Had my sights set on making Galadriel grey hobbit dress but finding her bloody brooch has been a nightmare. Thought I found one online but when it arrived it was only half the size needed and all the others online are the same, grrr. I really can't do the dress without it as it is the main focus of the whole costume. Also finding a good quality hobbit version of her headress is proving hard too. I don't think at this stage I will be doing her. Other's in the costume group are doing dwarves but that isn't really my style. Thinking maybe doing Eowyns blue mourning dress. At this rate I will have made all her costumes before long. Maybe I should do her white gown and the yellow corination dress as well just to complete the set :P The real prize of her's though would be that belt (another elusive costume piece I have yet to obtain).
Oh also went riding this week for the first time in about 6 months. Really shouldn't let so much time go between rides. Hurts like a bitch otherwise.
Well for someone who says they haven't had much happening recently I sure can rack up a few lines.
